Windpark Schoteroog and Iron Mountain Plan Two New Wind Turbines in Waarderpolder
DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
Energy cooperative Windpark Schoteroog and data center Iron Mountain are set to replace four old wind turbines in Waarderpolder with two new ones, aiming to provide stable, affordable clean energy to Haarlem for at least fifteen years. The project allows local residents and businesses to become co-owners of the turbines, while Iron Mountain will invest and purchase fifty percent of the generated electricity for its operations. The next step involves applying for an environmental permit for installation on a former landfill site.
