Wärtsilä to Supply 24 Engines for U.S. Power Plant Supporting Data Center Demand

Wärtsilä has received an order to supply 24 Wärtsilä 50SG engines, totaling 429 MW, for a power plant in the U.S. to meet rising electricity demands from data centers. Scheduled for commercial operations in late 2028 to early 2029, the engines are noted for their efficiency, reliability, and fast-start capabilities, enhancing grid capacity.
